My Approach

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic therapy encourages the exploration of the deep-rooted patterns, emotions, and experiences that shape your thoughts, behaviors, and relationships. This approach fosters insightful awareness of your emotional states and uncovers ways in which we relate to and communicate with others. A greater, more meaningful understanding of ourselves and others fosters greater self-compassion and healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

Trauma-Informed

I empower clients by honoring their lived experiences and by collaborating with them to navigate challenges with sensitivity and respect. For me, being trauma-informed means that your therapist understands how trauma affects your thought patterns, bodily sensations, approach to relationships and overall well-being. I prioritize creating a safe, supportive space where you feel secure and empowered to process your experiences if and when you choose to, and at your own pace.

Culturally-Competent

I am deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and affirming therapeutic space where all individuals feel seen, heard, and valued. I recognize that each client’s experiences are shaped by their unique identities, cultural backgrounds, and systemic influences. I strive to maintain cultural humility, tailoring my approach to meet the needs of each client.
